You must see Cheung Po Tsai Cave in Cheng Chau Island !

Its a real cool day trip, complete with nice ferry ride, intersting hiking, Cheung Po Tsai Cave is also a great thing to see.  After a nice day - You can have a wonderful meal from any of the many  restaurants in Cheng Chau's beach front area.  Yum !

the island has a very local feel and relaxed atmosphere. 

You should also check out the Bun Festival in May know as the Ching Chiu festival in Cantonese. 

The Peak offers so much more than just a shopping mall.  There is a sensational 3 KM / 2 Mile flat walk that takes around the The Peak and offers fantastic views of Hong Kong and really beautiful nature. 

Most people go the Victoria Peak and stay at the shopping mall.  But you should make effort and do the 30 / 35 minute walk.  You wont regret it and I guarantee you will find yourself going to the peak more often just to do this walk.

Another suggestion, Is to take a taxi from central which is 40/50 hong kong dollars.  The Peak Tram is nice for the first time tourist but definitely not the way to go on second, tenth, and twentieth time.

A fast and easy weekend getaway a 10 minute taxi ride from from central, hong kong.

 One of coolest hiking trails in hong king is Tai Po kau Nature Reserve which is a short taxi ride Tai Po Market KCR Station

If want to see beautiful nature, get away from the crowds and experience the real beauty of hong kong.  Its highly recomended.  You can select from many nature trails which vary in difficulty from easy to moderate.  Its a Must Do if you live in Hong Kong and after you do it - It feels like you just came back back from a vacation.

My favorite Lantau Restaurant is the China Beach Club located in Mui Wo Lantau Island.  15 Minute walk along Tung Wan Tau road from teh Mui Wo ferry pier. Western / European Food - Awesome ! 

It sounds confussing but its easy to get to on the main road of 18 Tung Wan Tau Road. Basically right along beach and on the second floor with a balcony and view of the beach.

Its really nice and give you a feeling of home.  You get very large portions and Definetly try the Greek Salad and Garlic Home Fries !   Much of their food is Barbecue fish or meat !   Delicious.
