Currently the migration from Print to Online is finally reaching Asia.  

As consumers behavior in Hong Kong changes they now look online to find real estate information about properties available for sale or rent.

Property Agencies are catching on this trend and shifting their attention to advertising online verses the newspaper or magazines.

Over 80% of consumers look online first as this offers the most convenient way to see what properties are available.  Advertising online is the best way to reach consumers.

In the coming weeks, months and years newspapers and magazines will be a thing of the past.  All information will become digitized and transfered over the internet to devices like mobile phones, laptop computers, and thin and lightweight e-paper.

The future is coming to Asia and the way information will be spread will change forever.

Property Transactions in Hong Kong have recently spiked in March/April 2009 !

Landlords have finally come to grips with reality and dropped their prices.  Property Cosumers sitting on the sidelines have jumped in to take advantage of 20 to 40% drops in prices.

Rental prices in HK have also droped and tenants have been switching apartments to take advantage of lower prices and better offers.

The term is 'Pent up Demand' - This spike is mainly attributed to consumers and landlords frozen from October 2008 to March 2009.   Activity slowed to a screatching hault in the real estate market in hong kong. 

The recent spike in activity is mainly due to 'Pent UP Demand' Landlords need to sell or rent their units - Consumers need to Buy or Rent their units - eventually.  The Drop in Prices has brought the Buyers & Sellers together and a 'Spike in Activity' is what we saw in March and April.

PropGO.com anticipates a Drop in Activity going forward from current highs.  But we see a Floor in Sight as panic has left the market and there is a base line of confidence.

Just wanted to start a discussion about Robot Traffic for real estate sites.  Beware of many 'Asian Sites' that claim 'High Traffic'

Key indicators of Fake/Robot traffic: 

• Huge Spikes in Traffic
• Average Page Views Greater than 15/20 page views per user. - If a site is showing 90 / 100 avg page views per visitor - Then its a Robot

Check - www.alexa.com

and type in the site you want to learn more about - Its not perfect but gives you and idea of what is happening. 

its a free website tracking service - Just wanted to give agents an indicator so they dont have to be a 'GURU' to figure out if you are being decieved...

Remember what is important for agents is LEADS - not inflated or fake traffic.....

also remember, high traffic may not be the right traffic.  so check out where sites advertise

- Bus Stations good for low income

- Luxury Magazines good for high income

Quality & Leads is more important that fake quantity.
